Characterised by mental decline or reduction in functionality. Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD) often occurs for years prior to diagnosis. SCD often takes on the form of subjective changes (lapses) in memory and cognition perceived by an individual. This includes:
Forgetfulness
Trouble following along in conversations
Getting lost in familiar surroundings
Difficulty finding the right word

Diet plays a monumental role as a preventative measure against these complex diseases. Studies reveal diets high in protein have been linked to reduced overall risk. Benefits of adequate amino acid (protein) consumption include:
Improved sleep
Increased quality of exercise
Better stress control
Decreased depression
Decreased anxiety
